The first landings have secured a beachhead, but the hold is still tenuous as the first assault wave consisted primarily of light infantry. As no heavy armour has yet disembarked, Soviet tanks could inflict a defeat on the lightly armed assault troops.

To counter this scenario Echo squad has infiltrated behind enemy lines and is now in position to set up an ambush on the coastal road for Soviet armour sent to aid the defence against the NATO landing force. The troops must use a combination of mines, command detonated explosive charges and shoulder launched AT weapons to ensure the destruction of enemy armoured vehicles while automatic weapons should be set up to engage any crews dismounting disabled vehicles.

As the enemy is expected to arrive within the next five minutes the squad must set up a hasty ambush. Mines should be deployed in a V shape with the point towards the enemy and command detonated satchel charges must be set up in a daisy chain in front of these. Although these means are unlikely to knock out the entire column on their own, the resulting blast damage from mines and explosives ought to increase the vulnerability of the armour to Carl Gustav rounds and LAW rockets.

Additional troops are due to be inserted by helicopter to join Echo squad for an attack on the main Soviet base. By seizing control of the military base supplies and facilities can be denied to the enemy forces. Therefore Echo squad will advance towards the base after awaiting the arrival of the reinforcements. A resupply of ammunition due to be dropped by the helicopter will allow the unit to replenish any expended munitions before the joint advance towards the base is made.
