As the bulk of their forces are now committed to battle between La Trinite and Saint Louis there is a chance to sever the lines of communication between the Soviet vanguard and their base of support to the south. NATO is therefore sending its reserves forward to attack the Soviet flank and gain possession of the main coastal road at Dourdan.

Alpha squad is en route from the village of Goisse to join Bravo squad for the attack on Arudy. Once the truck has reached the assembly point the troops must disembark and set out for the objective. Alpha and Bravo must clear all Soviet troops in the village before pushing on towards Dourdan, a small village astride the main metalled road and of crucial importance for resupply of the Soviet vanguard. By seizing control of this real estate the enemy's ability to supply its forces will be greatly impaired. This will force the Soviets to break off their attack towards the airfield and buy NATO time to land reinforcements to shore up its defences.

As the occupation of Dourdan will no doubt result in immediate attempts to dislodge NATO from the village reinforcements are earmarked to move up as soon as possible, but the armoured vehicles involved are currently still undergoing maintenance and resupply. Only when the machines are fully battleworthy can they be sent to back up the NATO troops at the village. Preparation for combat will take time, but it is essential to perform the mundane task of routine repairs and loading shells first. It will not do if the tracks run off en route to the battlefield or when the ammunition runs out in combat because the stowage was not topped up to full capacity.
