The resistance fighters will need to complete their preparations for the ambush as quickly as possible as the column is expected to arrive in roughly five minutes.

A successful ambush would create an excellent opportunity to strike at another target. As the troops gathered for the sweep operation were detached from nearby military posts this leaves these garrisons undermanned and unable to dispatch a reaction force in case of a resistance attack. Therefore the ambush must be followed up by an assault on the militia headquarters. There the FIA fighers are to eliminate the militia leader and capture an ammunition resupply vehicle.
