For this reason Bravo must locate and destroy the mortar position. Prepared explosive charges are available in the FV432 stowage for this express purpose though other expedient means may be employed.

Prepared explosive charges are available in the FV432 stowage for this express purpose though other expedient means may be employed.

A further task is the elimination of an enemy command post. This company level headquarters coordinates the defences in this sector, but due to the close proximity of civilian housing an artillery bombardment cannot be authorised under the current rules of engagement. Therefore Bravo is to clear the village of Kost and to destroy any command vehicles present. These tracks can either be blown up with satchels or destroyed using AT launchers, although expending AT might leave the section more vulnerable if confronted with armour later on.

When the secondary tasks have been achieved Bravo section is free to launch an attack on the objective of Neveklov. All enemy personnel must be cleared from the built up area. Once the village has been secured the troops must take up defensive positions and await the arrival of a mechanised infantry multiple held in reserve at Petrovice. The Soviets may well respond to the loss of Neveklov by gathering troops and vehicles for a counter-attack. Therefore Bravo section is to stand to till the arrival of friendly forces at Neveklov.

Bravo section will operate as mechanised infantry. The FV432 armoured personnel carrier is a battlefield taxi that provides mobility and a bit of protection against small arms fire. It is not a combat vehicle and employment as such could lead to disaster as it is not sufficiently armoured to withstand AT weaponry. Therefore it should be shielded from enemy observation and fire at all times. The mortar position at Frymburk is guarded by a small detachment of light infantry. Bravo must locate the mortar and destroy it using a satchel or other convenient way of putting the weapon out of action. As the Soviets maintain an overwatch position overlooking this objective due care should be taken in order to avoid fire from the high ground.

The command post at Kost is defended by several crew served weapons in fortified positions. These have been sited to cover the western approaches so an outflanking maneuver could avoid exposing the FV432 or the dismounts to fire from recoilless rifles and machineguns. Two armoured command tracks are known to be present, but no combat vehicles have been reported.

Neveklov has a garrison of Soviet rear echelon troops. Although a few heavy weapons have been positioned in sandbagged emplacements lack of engineering materials has precluded extensive fortification.
